Road safety system on road to Sounio
The Regional Authority of Attica is implementing an important intervention to ensure the smooth circulation of vehicles and prevent traffic accidents at the points of reduced road safety on the Athens-Sounio coastal avenue.
The installation of reflective rubber wings aim to limit the entry of vehicles into the oncoming traffic, greatly reducing the rate of traffic accidents.

Downtown Athens traffic restrictions take summer break
There will be no restrictions on vehicles entering central Athens as of Saturday, the Traffic Police said Thursday.
The restrictions are enforced every year and are designed to reduce traffic congestion in downtown Athens.
Double parking adds to urban traffic congestion
In a bid to tackle the scourge of double parking, traffic police will soon be unleashed in Athens and other major urban centers with tablets to identify offenders and directly calculate the fines, which will be transmitted directly to TAXISnet.

The complete absence of traffic police from the center of Athens is impressive. Citizens are reminded that it exists only when officials are moving around or during demonstrations.
Central intersections are constantly blocked and traffic lights are broken but the traffic police are absent.

Millions hit roads as 9-day Eid holiday starts
With the beginning of the nine-day Eid al-Adha holiday, millions of people seeking to spend this break outside their cities have hit the roads, causing heavy traffic congestion, especially on routes leading to famous holiday destinations.
Even though the Eid al-Adha will start on June 28 and last for four days, the break was extended to nine days.

Those gathered walked from the Assembly, through Slavija, to the Presidency at Andricev venac.

Traffic restrictions come into effect for Alexandras metro station
Restrictions in road traffic in central Athens will come into effect for nearly four months as of May 23 to facilitate the construction of the future Alexandras' metro station, police on Monday.
No tolls for private vehicles on election weekend
All Greek highways will be toll-free on Sunday for private vehicles and motorcyclists, making it easier to get to and from polling places.
From midnight Saturday to 8 a.m. Monday, there will be no tolls.

Bulgaria: Heavy Traffic is Expected in the Last of Day of the Holidays
Heavy traffic is expected on the last of the series of holidays on the country's roads.
Repairs are making traffic difficult on some of the country's key roads. The majority of repair works are carried out on the Trakia highway. There are repairs at the 20th, 40th and 120th km of the highway.
