Restriction for Trucks on Hemus Highway

The Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) announced that it will stop the movement of trucks over 12 tons in a 17-kilometer section of the Hemus motorway for a little more than 24 hours.

From 12 noon on July 25 (Sunday) to 2 pm on July 26 (Monday) the traffic of heavy trucks between the 47th and 30th km of the motorway in the direction of Sofia is stopped.

Trakia Highway near Stara Zagora to Bourgas is Opened for Traffic

The traffic on the Trakia highway in the section from Chirpan to Stara Zagora in the direction of Bourgas has already been launched. The repairs there lasted longer than originally announced and in the middle of the summer season led to huge traffic jams on the way to the sea. At the end of next week, the traffic to Sofia will be restored.

Government Provides BGN 81 Million for Hemus Motorway Construction

The Council of Ministers decided to provide 81,157,840 leva in financial resources to the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (MRDPW) to pay for this year's construction activities along the unfinished Hemus Motorway which will link the Bulgarian capital Sofia with the seaside city of Varna, the Government Information Service reported on Tuesday.

We have no information whether there were any accidents, but we were told that there were too many vehicles on the streets," representatives of the Yellow Taxi told B92.
