5km Long Queue of Trucks at the Exit of Kapitan Andreevo Border Checkpoint
At Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint, a 5km long queue of cargo vehicles formed at the exit, while at Lesovo border checkpoint there was a 1.5km long queue of trucks at the exit. This was announced by the press centre of Chief Directorate Border Police.

The traffic at the Bulgarian-Turkish border is intense. A 5 km queue of trucks has formed at the exit of "Kapitan Andreevo" border checkpoint, reported Traffic Police.
At "Lesovo" checkpoint there is a 1 km queue, at the exit from Bulgaria as well.
At all the border checkpoints with Serbia, The Republic of Macedonia, Greece and Romania the traffic is regular.
The Traffic Along the Border with Turkey is Normal
The traffic along the border with Turkey is normal, there is no crowding of buses or cars. This was reported from the press office of Chief Directorate 'Border Police'.
The activity of the checkpoints was not interrupted during the night in both directions, the traffic is normal.

Border Checkpoints With Turkey Blocked By Protests Against "Voting Tourism"
Slightly after 10:00 hrs, traffic at border cross checkpoint Kapitan Andreevo was blocked by protests held by patriots against the so-called "voting tourism" from Turkey.
Initially, the protest was announced as peaceful but, later on, people decided to block the lane from Turkey to Bulgaria and put tyres and chains along it.
8-Km Queue at Kapitan Andreevo Border Cross Checkpoint
There is an 8-km queue of trucks at the border cross checkpoint Kapitan Andreevo at the exit from Bulgaria.
The queue at the Lesovo border cross checkpoint is about 2 km long.
At the Kulata border cross checkpoint, traffic is heavy but there are no queues, announced Border Police.
Trucks Barred from Some Bulgarian Motorways, Busiest Roads on Sunday Afternoon
Trucks weighing more than 12 tons will be barred from using motorways and the busiest roads in Bulgaria between 14:00 and 20:00 news on Sunday, March 05, authorities say.
The reason is the intense traffic directed to Sofia expected at the end of a long weekend, according to the Road Infrastructure Agency.

Technical Issues Halt Truck Traffic at Bulgaria-Turkey Border
Problems with the border system on the Turkish side have stopped the movement of trucks leaving Bulgaria through the Kapitan Andreevo-Kapikule border crossing, the Road Infrastructure Agency says.
All trucks weighing more than 12 tons will now be redirected through to the border point at Lesovo.
6-Km Queue at Danube Bridge - Vidin
There is heavy traffic at the Bulgarian - Romanian border and a 6-km queue at border cross checkpoint Danube Bridge - Vidin.
The queue of trucks at Danube Bridge - Ruse is 7 kilometres long, reported the press centre of General Directorate Border Police.

Bulgaria's RIA To Seek Furnding for Kalotina-Sofia Highway
The Road Infrastructure Agency will apply for funding for the construction of the highway from border cross checkpoint Kalotina to the Sofia ring road, decided on Wednesday the outgoing cabinet.
The funds for the first section of the highway which starts from the border and reaches Dragoman will be sought via the Connecting Europe Facility under the annual operational programme 2016.
