Movement on Trakia Motorway Will be Stopped on May 6 Due to the Visit of Pope Francis

The limitation is in connection with the visit of Pope Francis to Rakovski, reported NOVA TV. 

On May 6 (Monday) at short intervals before noon and in the afternoon the traffic on Trakia Highway in the 119th to 165th km will be stopped. The restriction is in connection with the visit of Pope Francis to Rakovski, the press agency of the Road Infrastructure Agency announced.

Bulgarian Authorities Ease Traffic after Easter with Restrictions for Trucks

On the last day of the Easter holiday, restrictions on the movement of TIR trucks again come into force, reminded the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA). Today, from 14.00 to 20.00, all trucks above 12 tons will not be able to drive on highways and busy roads.

Bulgarian Border Police: Heavy Outbound Traffic at Lesovo and Ruse

According to data as of 6 am, there is heavy traffic from Bulgaria on the checkpoints of Lesovo and Danube Bridge Ruse, Border Police said. Traffic flow through all other border checkpoints in the country is normal. Border Police are informing drivers that road repairs in the Bulgarian section of Danube Bridge at Ruse will continue through today.

Bulgarian Border police: Heavy Truck Traffic at Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo

As of 6 am, on the Bulgarian-Turkish border there is considerable truck traffic on Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo checkpoints, at exit from Bulgaria, Border Police said.
On the borders with Serbia, Macedonia, Greece and Romania, there is normal traffic through all crossings.
