Mary J. Blige, Cher, Foreigner, A Tribe Called Quest, Kool & The Gang and Ozzy Osbourne have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, a class that also includes folk-rockers Dave Matthews Band and singer-guitarist Peter Frampton.

Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Cher, Lenny Kravitz, the late Sinéad O'Connor and heavy metal's so-called Prince of Darkness are some the 2024 nominees for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, a wide musical net that also includes the pop-soul of Sade and Britpoppers Oasis.

Having risen from smokey basements to packed arenas, 1000mods is the most successful Greek rock band of the past decades, and on December 29, the boys will be wrapping up their successful 2023 global tour at Floyd (floyd.gr). The night opens with up-and-coming local rock 'n' roll Greek act The Mystic Tension, setting the tone for an electrifying experience.

Ljubljana's celebrated rock club Orto Bar will host the 23rd iteration of the Orto Fest from 30 March to 29 April. The 2023 line-up features 20 Slovenian and 10 foreign bands, many of which are well-known crowd favourites.

Opening the festival will be the popular Slovenian rockers Big Foot Mama, who will soon be followed by Dan D, described by some as Slovenia's Pearl Jam.

Belgian indie rock band Balthazar will perform at Volkswagen Arena on Nov 20.

The duo's new album 'Sand' was recorded remotely under the pandemic and it will meet Istanbulites for the first time during their post-pandemic tour.

Former free-style wrestler Dwayne Johnson-The Rock, who requalified as an actor, is following in the footsteps of colleagues George Clooney and Ryan Reynolds and singer Nick Jonas, launching his own brand of tequila, ContactMusic reported.
Johnson, 47, personally announced this on Instagram. Its own Teramana Tequila brand will be launched in the first quarter of 2020.
 

A legend of post-punk and new wave, Britain's The Cure returns to Greece as the headline act of the Ejekt Festival on Athens' southern coast, with a single show on June 17 that is part of the band's 2019 world tour.

The alternative Scottish-American rock band Garbage will be headliners on the third day of the Hill of Rock 2019 festival, whose third edition will be held on 28, 29 and 30 June at the Rowing Base in Plovdiv, organizers from Sofia Music Enterprises announced, reports Dnevnik.
