The AGERPRES National News Agency joined European Data News Hub (EDNH), a benchmark website for major European issues, subsidised by the European Commission, but with total editorial independence. AGERPRES is part of the news agencies consortium which produce the website - the AFP agency based in Paris, the Italian news agency ANSA and the German press agency dpa.

Parliament rejects request for budget bill re-examination; passes bill as originally sent for promulgation

Romanian judoka Croitoru finishes 2nd at Warsaw European Open 2019

Romanian judoka Mircea Croitoru on Sunday finished second in the +100kg men's category at the Warsaw European Open 2019, according to the European Judo Union website. Croitoru defeated Polish Krzysztof Zaleczny in the first fight. In the quarter-finals he beat Frenchman Nabil Zalagh.

DIICOT suspends its activity 4 hours a day as a protest over adoption of OUG No.7/2019

The General Assembly of the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) prosecutors decided on Monday to suspend its activity between 26 February and 8 March, between 08:00hrs - 12:20hrs, as a protest against the adoption by the Government of OUG No.7/2019, which amends the Justice Laws.

PM Dancila sends to President Iohannis appointment proposals of Suciu and Cuc as Development, Transport Ministers

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila sent on Wednesday to President Klaus Iohannis the appointment proposals for the Regional Development and Transport Ministries.
