Murders Leave Rohingya Camps Gripped by Fear
AFP - A spate of bloody killings is fuelling unease in the Rohingya camps on the Bangladesh-Myanmar border, where overstretched police are struggling to protect nearly a million traumatised refugees from violent gangs.
Just 1,000 police officers guard the labyrinthine shanties that make up the giant camps and authorities want to more than double the force in the wake of the murders.

UN chief hears of 'unimaginable' atrocities as he visits Rohingya camps
United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres said he heard "unimaginable" accounts of atrocities during a visit Monday to vast camps in Bangladesh that are home to a million Rohingya refugees who fled violence in Myanmar.
EU Sanctions 7 Senior Military, Border Guard and Police Officials
On 25 June, the Council placed 7 individuals under restrictive measures in light of the situation in Myanmar/Burma. These sanctions consist of an asset freeze and a travel ban.
Forced displacement at record 68.5 million people - UNHCR
Nearly half of those are children, the annual Global Trends study has found.
"Leading the displacement during the year was the crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the war in South Sudan and the flight into Bangladesh from Myanmar of hundreds of thousands of Rohingya refugees," a press release said.
