Royal Family of Romania expresses "unspeakable sadness" over death of Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II

The Royal Family of Romania on Friday expressed their "unspeakable sadness" at the death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, husband of Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain. "Her Majesty the Crown Custodian and His Royal Highness the Prince Consort, along with the entire Royal Family, learned with great sadness the news of the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Europe's Royals to Gather for Romanian Ex-King's Funeral

Members of several European royal houses, as well as royals from as far away as Bahrain and Japan, are set to gather in Bucharest at the end of the week to attend the funeral of Romania's last monarch, King Michael I, who died last week aged 96.

The king died at his modest residence in the village of Aubonne , in Switzerland, after over a year of battling cancer.

A number of personalities of Romania, the United States of America, France, and Switzerland were decorated, on Sunday, by Princess Margareta, on the occasion of the events held in honor of the anniversary of 25 years since her return to her homeland, among them Frederic Mitterand, the nephew of the former president of France.

Princess Margareta and Prince Radu welcomed by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace

Princess Margareta, the elder daughter of ex-sovereign of Romania Michael I and her husband Prince Radu were welcomed by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, King Michael's Press Office announced in a release to AGERPRES on Wednesday.

The meeting at Buckingham Palace was an invitation to tea at 5 p.m., the release added.
