Death toll climbs after storm hammers Turkey’s northwest
The death toll in a powerful wind storm that has been pounding Turkey's northwest region, including Istanbul, for a while has increased to five, the country's health minister has said, adding that 63 people have been injured so far.

Roof of a Hotel in Smolyan Collapsed
Part of the roof of an abandoned communist era hotel in Smolyan collapsed last night. The likely reason is heavy rainfall in the city. According to witnesses initially there was a loud noise and then debris flew from the roof of the Sokolitsa Hotel, bTV reported.

Ceiling of Bulgaria's National Library Collapses
Heavy snow was the reason for the collapse of the ceiling of the National Library St. St. Cyril and Methodius, reported BGNES.
Due to the weight of the snow, the glass ceiling of the library collapsed in one of the reading halls, known as reading hall 3.
The incident occurred about 17:00 hrs on Friday and one person was injured.

Workman dies after falling off roof in Alexandroupoli
Police in Alexandroupoli were on Wednesday investigating the circumstances of the death of a 37-year-old laborer who had been repairing the tiled roof of a house in the city in northeastern Greece on Tuesday.
The worker, an Albanian national, was transferred to the city?s general hospital after falling off the roof but medics declared him dead on arrival.
