Kozani police take ax to big cannabis operation
Officers from the Kozani police narcotics unit have located and seized more than 1,000 cannabis trees from two farms in Karditsa, central Greece, and arrested four suspects - a 53-year-old Greek and three foreign nationals aged between 43 and 46 - believed to have been running the illegal cultivation, police said on Thursday.

Police arrest suspect in cannabis plantation raid
Officers of Attica Security's Anti-Drugs Squad on Monday arrested one man in connection to a cannabis plantation discovered in a forested area near the village of Inoi, in West Attica.
The 50-year-old suspect is believed to be responsible for the organization, cultivation and supervision of the plantation.

Police make huge drug bust in eastern Turkey
Anti-narcotics police in Turkey have seized more than 1.2 million cannabis sativa roots and 337 kilograms (742.958) of marijuana in an air-supported operation, officials said on June 28.

Two arrested at East Attica cannabis farms
Two professionally equipped cannabis plantations were discovered by officers of the police narcotics squad in a forest area near the seaside resort town of Porto Rafti in Eastern Attica on Wednesday.
Two foreign nationals, aged 35 and 36, who were reportedly working at the plantations, were arrested.

In the last year, young Bulgarians have used cannabis most often, but heroin sends most people to clinics. This is shown in the annual report of the European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction, BNT reported.
Two drug busts in Attica
A fully equipped hydroponic lab where cannabis was being cultivated was found by police on Wednesday during a raid on a residence in the area of Zahouli in Megara, western Attica.
The 52-year-old owner of the home was arrested and officers seized 119 cannabis trees. Police said they were looking for his 51-year-old accessory.

Ankara municipalities start offering cheap legumes at stalls
