Croatian regulators approve Petrol’s takeover of Crodux, Iskra’s takeover of Elka

Zagreb – The Croatian Competition Agency (CCA) has given Slovenia’s energy company Petrol a green light on the takeover of Croatian petroleum products seller Crodux as well as authorised the Iskra electronics group to acquire Croatian electric cable manufacturer Elka.

Shell ordered to cut emissions in landmark Dutch climate case

A Dutch court ordered oil giant Shell on May 26 to slash its greenhouse gas emissions in a landmark victory for climate activists with implications for energy firms worldwide.

Shell must reduce its carbon emissions by 45 percent by 2030 as it is contributing to the "dire" effects of climate change, the district court in The Hague ruled.

Greece gets nine non-binding bids for stake in gas supplier DEPA Commercial

Greece has received nine non-binding bids for the sale of a 65 percent stake in its dominant gas supplier DEPA Commercial, its privatisation agency said on Monday.

Investors who have expressed an interest in the stake include Shell Gas, Vitol Holding, Power Globe, MET Holding and C.G. Gas Limited of Greece's Copelouzos group, the agency said in a statement.

Silistar Oil and Gas Prospecting First Attempt Failed

The first attempt at oil and gas prospecting off Silistar in the Black Sea has failed.

At the end of March "Shell International Exploration and Development Italia", in which Shell has a 50 percent share, the Australian Woodside Energy - 30 percent, and the Spanish Repsol - the remaining shares, conducted three months of prospecting in Block Khan Kubrat.

Shell Transfers to Repsol 20% of Oil and Gas Exploration Rights in Han Kubrat Offshore Bulgaria

The Council of Ministers has authorized Shell International Exploitation and Development Italy S.A. to transfer 20% of oil and gas exploration rights to Block 1-14 Kubrat to Repsol Bulgaria Khan Kubrat SA. The possibility of transferring the rights and obligations under granted permit for prospecting and exploration is regulated in the Underground Natural Resources Act.
