Turkey registers all-time high February export figure
With a 9.6% hike year-on-year, Turkey's exports registered the all-time high February figure at $16 billion, the country's trade minister said on March 2.
The country also saw a 9.8% increase in imports, reaching $19.4 billion during the same period, Ruhsar Pekcan said at a meeting in the capital Ankara where she revealed preliminary foreign trade data for February.
Turkey, Azerbaijan aim $15 bln trade volume by 2023
Turkey and Azerbaijan have set a target of reaching a trade volume of $15 billion by 2023, the Turkish vice president said on Feb. 18.
Speaking at the Turkey-Azerbaijan Business Forum, Fuat Oktay said that apart from the brotherhood between Turkey and Azerbaijan, the two countries are important political and trade partners.
Turk Eximbank aims to provide $50 bln financing for exporters
Turk Eximbank aims to increase its export support by 11% year-on-year to over $50 billion in 2021, the Turkish trade minister said on Feb. 5.
Speaking at Turk Eximbank 2020 Operating Results and 2021 Targets Meeting, Ruhsar Pekcan said the bank's export support rate is projected to rise to 27.7% this year.
Turkey's exports hit highest January figure so far
Surpassing $15 billion last month, Turkey's exports hit the highest January figure of the country's history, the trade minister said on Feb. 2.
Turkey's exports in January rose 2.5% year-on-year, Ruhsar Pekcan said at a meeting in the capital Ankara where she revealed preliminary Trade Ministry data.

Turkey, Belgium target $10 bln bilateral trade volume
Turkey and Belgium are aiming to increase their bilateral trade volume from $7.3 billion to up to $10 billion annually, the Turkish trade minister said on Jan. 20.
The two countries held the second term meeting of the Joint Economic Trade Committee (JETCO), which was established in 2013.
Contractors carry out $14 bln worth projects
Turkish contracting companies oversaw $14.4 billion in projects abroad last year, Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan said on Jan. 19, adding that the figure was expected to climb to $15 billion in 2021.

Turkey's exports reached $169.5 billion in 2020, the trade minister announced on Jan. 5, citing preliminary data.
Turkey recorded all-time high monthly export figure of $17.8B in December, up 16% year-on-year, Ruhsar Pekcan said during a year-end foreign trade evaluation meeting in the capital Ankara.
