President Rumen Radev met with representatives of the Bulgarian community in Chicago. The visit is within the Head of State's first visit in the US. He visited the St Sofia church, where he was greeted in a traditional way for our country with bread and salt, then lit a candle for health and talked to the priest of the temple.

''Bulgaria can attract many more US investors, but to do this, we need to do our homework - the fight against corruption must be really uncompromising.'' This was stated by President Rumen Radev before journalists after holding a meeting in New York with the US President (1993-2001) Bill Clinton, reported BGNES.

The strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the United States is a prerequisite for a far more active economic and investment cooperation, said President Rumen Radev said at a working meeting with the representatives of companies that have invested or are considering making investments in Bulgaria, organized by the Business council for international understanding.

President Rumen Radev will speak at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly. The speech of the Bulgarian head of state will start around 19:00. Novinite.bg reports. 

At a meeting in New York with representatives of leading Jewish organizations from USA, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev called for more investments by USA and Israel in Bulgaria in the sphere of information technologies and other spheres with high value added.

President Rumen Radev is on a working visit to the United States. He will take part in the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, reported bTV. 

The visit is within the entire week. Today the head of state will take part in the annual forum "Honoring the Heroes of the World Campaign Against Extremism and Intolerance" and will make a statement.

''I still believe in what I wrote years ago on the occasion of this date. In our society September 9 has always drawn a line of division. Both sides have their irrefutable motives'', Bulgarian President Rumen Radev wrote in his account on Facebook answering the question, ''What is September 9, a date of a revolution or a coup?''

President Rumen Radev said that the Bulgarian institutions should unite and provide appropriate conditions for the training of gymnasts who have won medals in international competitions for years. Reports Btv. 

Head of state, Rumen Radev, talked today to Dondukov 2 with the best Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov. The president greeted Grigor Dimitrov for his recent title in the Masters series at Cincinnati.

The Bulgarian Presidency's committee on naming objects of national significance and communities has refused to back a call to rename the Musala peak, the highest point in the country, after Bulgaria's patron saint.
