Bulgarian President Radev Met with the Management of the Central Election Commision

At a meeting with the Central Election Commission on May 10, President Rumen Radev called for measures to be taken to reduce the number of invalid votes during the upcoming EP elections. He also stressed the need to ensure the security of machine voting and personal data, reports BNT.

13 organisations, including fruit, vegetable and potato growers, as well as organic producers, are insisting on the resignation of Agriculture Minister Rumen Porozhanov. Their motives are that the ministry has no policy of managing their industry, ignores their demands, which results in damages and insolvencies. Farmers are preparing for protest on Monday, reports BNT. 

Bulgarian President Radev is at the Egyptian-Bulgarian Business Forum in Cairo

President Rumen Radev andEgyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly welcomed the participants in the Egyptian-Bulgarian Business Forum, which took place in Cairo within the second day of the official visit of the Bulgarian head of state to Egypt, the head of the press service has said.

In the Arab Republic Rumen Radev is accompanied by a business delegation.

The President Announced that Only Investment in Industry can Ensure Development in Bulgaria

President Rumen Radev said that only investments in the industry can guarantee a pace of development. The head of state opened a conference "On a Competitive and Prosperous Bulgarian Economy", which is held today under his patronage. The forum is attended by Deputy Prime Ministers Tomislav Donchev and Mariana Nikolova and Ministers Vladislav Goranov, Emil Karanikolov and Krassimir Valchev.

Rumen Radev at a Meeting of Presidents From 9 Central and Eastern European Countries

President Rumen Radev is in Slovakia to attend the summit of presidents from 9 Central and Eastern European countries, reported the Bulgarian National Television.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg also attends the forum. The heads of state are discussing the security of the old continent and neighbouring areas within NATO's collective approach.

He said his team is working hard and in days it will become clear whether he will veto the amendments to the election law.

Bulgarian Head of State: There Can be no Successful Policies Without a Strong Economy

"There can be no successful policies without a strong economy, just as there can be no strong economic performance without an adequate state policy towards businesses, with regard to quality of education, administrative burden, the fight against corruption," said President Rumen Radev at a meeting with representatives of the Association of the Organizations of Bulgarian Employers.
