Trump sends message to Thaci on anniversary of Kosovo UDI
US President Donald Trump has sent a message Hashim Thaci congratulating him on the anniversary of Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence (UDI).
According to a statement posted on the official website of Thaci, Kosovo's president, the message reads as follows:
Thaci: Serbia wants to annex part of Kosovo using 'Crimea model'
BELGRADE - Serbia plans to seize a slice of northern Kosovo just as Russia annexed Ukraine's Crimea region in 2014, Kosovo's president Hashim Thaci told Reuters on Monday.
Kosovo special police units on Saturday prevented a train painted in Serbia's national colors and bearing the words "Kosovo is Serbia" from crossing the border.

Special relations with the U.S: and close cooperation with EU and NATO and Kosovo’s "neighboring countries" represent "the essence of Kosovo's foreign policy."
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci said this on Monday in Pristina at the the Conference of Ambassadors.
Thaci: Albania 'Obliged' to Speak out on Kosovo
Since taking up office as Kosovo's head of state in February, President Hashim Thaci seems to have moved away from the limelight.
In government as Prime Minister, Thaci supported the establishment of the Specialist Chambers in the Hague, a new court that will deal with war crimes committed in Kosovo during 1998-2000.

Hashim Thaci sworn in as Kosovo's president
Hashim Thaci was on Thursday sworn in as president of Kosovo, starting his five-year mandate.
The ceremony took place in the Kosovo Assembly, while the 50-minute inauguration, expected to be attended by 1,200 guests from 50 countries, will be held in downtown Pristina on Friday starting at 11:00 CET, the Kossev website said.
