One of Ukraine’s most secretive weapons in the fight against the Russian invasion is becoming more widely known. According to British network Sky News, it is a network of Ukrainian citizens living and fighting behind Russian front lines, supported by Ukraine’s special forces.

At least six people have lost their lives after a massive attack launched by Russia on Ukraine, causing severe damage to electrical and water infrastructure.

According to the BBC, missile and drone attacks hit more than half of the country’s regions, with explosions heard in several cities, including Kyiv, where residents flooded into shelters.

Videos circulating online show the moment the unmanned aerial vehicle crashed into the building in the Russian city.

Russian strikes across Ukraine on Monday killed at least three people, wounded several, and damaged energy infrastructure.

A Reuters journalist, covering the war in Ukraine, was reported missing following a missile strike on his hotel in the eastern city of Kramatorsk. The city, under Ukrainian control but close to the front lines, saw the Sapphire Hotel destroyed by what is believed to be an "Iskander" missile on Saturday night.

The Ukrainian army is steadily pushing Russian forces out of the Kharkiv region, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky. He expressed gratitude to the United States for providing another package of military aid, emphasizing the importance of timely deliveries to support the front lines.

Some are injured, most are very young, and all want to return home: the Russian soldiers captured during the surprise Ukrainian attack in Kursk now hope for a prisoner exchange.

Agence France-Presse managed to speak briefly with several of these prisoners of war at their detention site in the Sumy region of northern Ukraine, under the supervision of Ukrainian officers.

Ukrainian forces said they thwarted a Russian missile attack on the capital Kiev where air raid sirens sounded before dawn on Sunday.

"This is the third ballistic missile attack on the capital in August with a clear interval of six days between each attack," the Kiev City Military Administration posted on Telegram after the early morning barrage.

Russian forces are now positioned just 10 kilometers from the outskirts of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. This advancement comes amid ongoing conflicts in the region, where Ukrainian forces have been engaged in various operations.
