Greece has agreed to provide Ukraine with 24 Sea Sparrow missiles, which will support the Ukrainian Armed Forces against ongoing threats. These missiles, which have been in use for nearly 40 years, are from Greece's naval and air force stockpiles and have been deemed unnecessary for operational use by Greek military standards. 

The Defense Committee has endorsed the government's proposal for Bulgaria to acquire German IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile systems. The initial phase of the project, which involves purchasing these systems, is valued at over 356 million leva. Additionally, there is the potential to procure up to five units of a different modification of the system.

An air alert was issued in several regions of eastern Ukraine last night as tensions remained high. In the Pokrovsk region and the Donetsk region, where 33 clashes occurred within 24 hours, the front-line situation continues to be volatile.

Amid a new Russian offensive on various fronts in Ukraine, Athens is examining a list of old and newer requests from Kyiv for military aid from the reserves of the Hellenic Armed Forces.

Spain will send a small number of Patriot missiles to Ukraine, El Pais newspaper reported on Friday, in response to pressure from EU and NATO allies to send more military aid to Kyiv.

In a decisive statement, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis affirmed that Greece will not be supplying Ukraine with either Patriot or S-300 air defense systems. Mitsotakis's remarks, made during an interview with the Sky television channel and reported by DPA, underscore Greece's stance on critical defense assets.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said Greece can not offer air defense systems like "Patriots" or S-300 to Ukraine responding to pressure from EU and NATO allies to send more military aid to Kyiv.
