Sakıp Sabancı Museum (SSM) will host open-air activities throughout the summer.

The first of the events, the Summer in the Garden Festival, organized by Hakan Erdoğan Productions, will start today with the theme "Invitation to Joy" and continue until Sept. 10.

Organized by the Ayvalık International Music Academy (AIMA), founded 23 years ago under the leadership of Professor Filiz Ali, the seventh Ayvalık Music Festival will be held in the western town of Ayvalık between Aug. 10 and 19.

Şevket Sabancı, a billionaire member of Turkey's Sabancı family, died at the age of 85, local media reported on July 22.

He was one of the four sons of Hacı Ömer Sabancı, the founder of companies that later formed Sabancı Holding, Turkey's second-largest industrial group.

Şevket Sabancı was the deputy chairman of Sabancı Holding until 2004.

Sakıp Sabancı Museum's digitalSSM Archive and Research Space has published its first e-book titled "Technological Arts Preservation."

The book, edited by Sabancı University's faculty members Selçuk Artut and Cemal Yılmaz, as well as Osman Serhat Karaman, the director of the digitalSSM, offers international content on its subject matter.

The Sakıp Sabancı Mardin City Museum - Dilek Sabancı Gallery in the southeastern province of Mardin, restored by the Sabancı Foundation upon the late businessman Sakıp Sabancı's will and transformed into a museum and art gallery, is hosting the exhibition "The Russian Avant-garde. Within the scope of a project called "Technological Arts Preservation" enacted through the collaboration of Sabancı University and Sakıp Sabancı Museum's (SSM) archive and research space, digitalSSM, an event will take place to host a talk titled "Preserving Immersive Media."

Sabancı University Sakıp Sabancı Museum's (SSM) exhibition "ZERO. Countdown to the Future," which drew global attention back in 2015, is now online to meet art enthusiasts, shedding light once again on the ZERO movement.

The exhibition was earlier realized from Sept. 2, 2015, until Jan. 10, 2016, in joint efforts with Akbank Sanat.
