The Tupolev’s tail section has been found along with three more bodies

 

3000 people are searching the crash site for the passengers’ bodies. According to TASS news agency the black box was found on Tuesday morning under the cabin and it will br retrieved as soon as possible. According to experts there are two more recorders on the tail section to be found.

 

Suspects in Soma mine disaster demand acquittal

Alp Gürkan, the former chair of Soma Holding, which owned a mine that was the site of Turkey's worst-ever mine disaster in 2014, demanded his acquittal at his first hearing on Dec. 26, Doğan News Agency has reported.

Gürkan said he resigned as chair of the company on December 2013 and handed over the baton to his son due to his old age.

Turkish court approves verdicts against policemen for killing of Gezi protester Ali Ismail Korkmaz

The Turkish Supreme Court of Appeals has approved a verdict against two police officers who were found guilty of killing 19-year-old Gezi protester Ali İsmail Korkmaz. 

Officers Mevlüt Saldoğan and Yalçın Akbulut, who were both convicted to 10 years and 10 months in jail, will serve prison terms that were handed down by a Kayseri court after the case was re-evaluated.

Karlov's attacker refused to go through X-ray, entered with police ID: Municipality

The man who killed Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov on Dec. 19 at an arts center in Ankara was warned by security personnel at the entrance to the venue after he refused to proceed through an X-ray device but was subsequently granted entry after he showed his police ID, according to the local municipality.
