Local election campaigns set to contribute notably to economy
Thousands of candidates vying for posts in the upcoming local elections are expected to contribute a substantial 10 billion Turkish Liras ($323 million) to the economy through their promotional expenditures, a sector representative has said.
Cyprus proceeds with pending tax rebates
An intensive effort by Cyprus' Tax Department in recent months has resulted in rebates of over 70 million euros of excess taxes, with an additional €200 million expected to be paid, according to the head of the department, Sotiris Markides.
He emphasized that the Tax Department aims to clear all outstanding corporate and individual taxpayer rebates by the end of 2023.

IAPR reports state revenue overrun, drop in rebates due
State revenues exceeded their target last year by at least 420 million euros, according to provisional data for December shared by Independent Authority for Public Revenue Director Giorgos Pitsilis with the agency's employees in a letter.
