Montenegro, Serbia to Open New Border Crossings

Almost seven years since negotiations started, Serbia and Montenegro have agreed to open six new border crossings and to sign an agreement on regional and international cross-border traffic.

According to the Interior Ministry documents, which BIRN has seen,  the two countries agreed to signed additional protocols on joint border checkings, to meet EU standards.

Suspect arrested in N. Pazar for raping daughter for 4 years

The police in Novi Pazar, southwestern Serbia, on Saturday arrested 40-year-old E.T., an Albanian from Kosovo, on suspicion that he raped his own daughter.

The daily Vecernje Novosti is reporting this on Tuesday, adding that the child is now 15, and has been the victim of repeated rape for the past four years.

Novi Pazar: Suspect arrested after shooting of policeman

A suspect has been arrested in the southwestern Serbian town of Novi Pazar after the shooting and wounding late on Thursday of a police officer.

The suspect has been named by the police with his initial and year of birth as DZ.K. (1983), a resident of Novi Pazar. He is currently held in up to 48 hours police custody.
