About 90 mountaineers were trapped in a hut in Krma, a valley in the Triglav National Park. Among them there are blind and partially blind people, reports 24ur.
During the storm, a large number of trees fell on the road, which is now impassable.

Mountain rescuers busy this weekend rescuing people and dog
Bohinj/Kranj – Slovenia’s mountain rescue teams were again busy this Sunday as they came to the aid of several injured hikers as well as a dog in four helicopter dispatches. More and more hikers have insufficient knowledge about mountaineering equipment and underestimate the mountains, the authorities warn, urging responsible behaviour.

Cabinet touring former mining region of Zasavje
Trbovlje – The restructuring of what used to be Slovenia’s most mining-heavy region is expected to top the agenda as the government tours Zasavje in central Slovenia on Tuesday. The region is one of the two that can expect funds from the EU’s Just Transition Fund.

Triglav National Park celebrating two key anniversaries
Bled – The sole national park in Slovenia is celebrating 60 years since the Valley of Triglav Lakes was declared the Triglav National Park (TNP), and 40 years since a key law was passed to protect virtually the entire Julian Alps mountain range in the country.
Parents protesting closure of schools
Koper – Rallies were held across the country on Sunday as parents protested closure of schools after two regions slipped back into black tier last week. The government decided schools should return to remote teaching and kindergartens close on Monday in the two regions after pupils in grades one to three were allowed back in nine of 12 regions last week.
