Ljubljana – N Banka, the former Slovenian subsidiary of Russia’s Sberbank that was acquired by the NLB bank after sanctions were introduced against Russia, got a new chairman in Heribert Fernau on Friday.

The embassy claimed in a post on Facebook that it was launching the fundraiser in response to popular demand from Bulgarians.

The package of sanctions includes other tough measures, such as the removal from the swift of the largest Russian bank Sberbank

European Union leaders have backed an embargo on "more than two-thirds" of Russian oil imports, European Council President Charles Michel was quoted as saying on Twitter.

During the ongoing summit in Brussels, Michel also commented that the maximum pressure on Russia will end the war, and the oil embargo cuts a huge source of funding for the military machine.

At the state level, while all EU countries have unanimously approved the five rounds sanctions against these Russian/Belarusian entities and individuals, they have done so with varying degrees of enthusiasm.

Ljubljana – The shareholders of the Slovenian subsidiary of Russia’s Sberbank, which was acquired by Slovenia’s largest bank NLB in March, formally decided on Monday to rename the subsidiary N Banka.

The European Union will launch a total economic war against Russia. This was stated by the Minister of Finance of France Bruno Le Maire in an interview with France Info radio.

"We will launch a total economic and financial war against Russia," the minister said. "The Russian people will bear the consequences."

In Bosnia, many wanted to withdraw their money, fearing the loss of their savings. Bank officials are giving dates to customers if they want to withdraw large sums due to high demand.

BELGRADE - The third Russian bank entering the Serbian market will add significantly to developing economic relations between Belgrade and Moscow, Andrey Khripunov, Russia's trade representative in Serbia, told Sputnik.
