Suceava: Four medals for Belgrade's young astrophysicists
SUCEAVA, BELGRADE - Students of the Mathematical High School in Belgrade won four medals and one honorable mention at the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) in Suceava, Romania.
Five high school students representing Serbia at the 8th IOAA, held from August 1 to 11, won a total of one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

It is clearly obvious that certain ministers and deputies are trying to appear as though they are on the side of the masses, making populist statements, because they consider it very likely that they will not survive a general election should it happen in the fall.

Bulgarian Students Win Medals At International Chemistry Olympiad
A team of Bulgarian students collected three bronze medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Hanoi, Vietnam, the Ministry of Education announced.
The three Bulgarian bronze medal winners are Pencho Beykov and Boris Mitrev from Sofia and Kristian Georgiev from Pleven.
Bulgaria’s Population Shrinks Further
Bulgaria’s population decreased further last year, maintaining the rate of decline from 2012, official figures showed on Thursday.
The ageing of the population has also continued, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said.

TS proposes amendments to media bill
BELGRADE - Transparency Serbia (TS) proposed amendments to the bill on public information and media intended to provide better insight into media funding sources, and urged Serbian MPs to take these suggestions into consideration.
The amendments to 12 articles of the bill that entered the parliamentary procedure on Wednesday mainly focus on corruption issues.

Markets ignore geopolitics, but for how long?
As their name implies, market economists are supposed to follow markets closely. Since I am not one anymore, I am no longer glued to the Reuters terminal. Nor do I feel the urge to check the Bloomberg app on my Blackberry every couple of minutes â even though I have been dumped because I supposedly love my smartphone more than anything or anyone else. Go figure! :)

Bulgarian Students Win 3 Medals at Int'l Informatics Olympiad
A Bulgarian team won two gold medals and a silver medal at the 26th International Olympiad in Informatics held on July 13-20 in Taiwan.
A total of 316 competitors from 82 countries took part in the competition, according to reports of Dnevnik Daily, as cited by Bulgarian software engineering services company Musala Soft.
