Scotland's Excess Death Rate is One of the Highest in the World
The situation in Scotland has been described as 'particularly acute', according to Jamie Jenkins, former head of analysis for the ONS.
He told The Sunday Times that the excess death rate of people in Scotland, which tracks deaths above the normal level, is higher than Italy and the United States, however is lower than the UK as a whole.
Scotland is Taking Steps towards Independence
Scotland will become an independent country and then will restore its membership of the European Union. Scotland's First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, said in a special speech to the European Parliament. She was adamant that the Scottish Government will find a way to hold a new independence referendum.

Edinburgh has a New GBP 1.35 Billion Bridge
The Queensferry Crossing, one of the most modern 207-meter-long, three pillar bridge, was put into operation in the Scottish capital Edinburgh.
The value of the facility is GBP 1.35 Billion pounds (USD 1.7 billion), and its projected lifetime is 120 years.
