Water dripping next to Parthenon Marbles in British Museum

The glass roof of the Duveen Gallery in the British Museum which houses the Parthenon Marbles is dripping, with water collecting next to the sculptures, according to a report by Skai TV on Friday.

Museum officials had placed on Friday morning absorbing paper over the water and plastic signs to warn visitors of the slippery floor.

Roman-era sarcophagus with dog sculpture goes on display in Athens

This marble Roman-era sarcophagus with a sculpture of a little dog lying down has been brought out of storage at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens for the "Unseen Museum" exhibition. Replica of Nike of Samothrace to be erected on island

A replica of the Winged Victory of Samothrace, also called the Nike of Samothrace, on display in the Louvre Museum in Paris, has been completed in a workshop in Drama, northern Greece. It will be erected on the island of Samothrace, where the original was found. The 6.5-ton replica is 2.44 meters high.

Tinos marble sculptors keep tradition alive

The school in the village of Pyrgos, along with several workshops across the Aegean island, keep the tradition of marble sculpture alive, with local families having passed down their skills down from generation to generation for hundreds of years.
