Milos reaches out to Beyonce
Authorities on Milos have invited American pop star Beyonce to visit the Aegean island as part of its campaign to repatriate the world famous Venus de Milo statue which is housed in the Louvre museum in Paris.
The Municipality of Milos came up with the idea after Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z made a music video in the Louvre in which the statue features prominently.

Design Boom - The london mastaba, a temporary sculpture by world-renowned artist christo, has opened in london's hyde park.the public work, which consists of horizontally stacked colorful barrels on a floating platform, will be on view until september 23, 2018 on the park's serpentine lake.
India ink paintings by Pınar Tınç
Turkey's first India ink artist Pınar Tınç is currently displaying her works at Istanbul's Arnavutköy Art Gallery in the exhibition titled 'Mia Maou Maman,' meaning 'I Love You Mom.' The exhibition, featuring paintings on mother and child relations, nature and animals, will run through May 3.

Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon
The magnificent Calouste Gulbenkian Museum in the capital of Portugal, Lisbon, which is lesser known in Turkey, is made up of various sections. The museum displays ivories, paintings, sculptures, medals, manuscript books and silver dining sets from Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Greek, Roman, Islamic, Armenian, Middle Eastern and European art.

Several Dead in Germany as Van Ploughs into Crowd in Muenster
Several people have been been killed in the city of Muenster, in western Germany after a van drove into pedestrians.
The driver of the vehicle has killed himself, police said.
About 30 people are reported injured in the incident, which occurred near the Kiepenkerl statue in the old town.
Police asked people to avoid the city centre while they respond to the incident.

An international group advocating the return of marble sculptures taken from Greece's historic Parthenon temple has been actively seeking the repatriation from a German museum of a partial centaur's head, the ANA-MPA news agency reported on Thursday.

Romania is set to re-submit its application in early 2018 for UNESCO to include an 80-year-old sculptural ensemble by French-Romanian artist Constantin Brancusi in its world patrimony, two years after the first application had to be withdrawn due to mistakes in the documentation.
