Swimmers rescue turtle stuck in fishing net
Swimmers in Nafplio on Friday rescued a sea turtle that had become entangled in a fishing net. The animal was spotted by a swimmer who brought it to shore and freed it from the netting with the help of other beachgoers before releasing it back into the sea. Dead dolphins, turtle to be buried
Coast Guard authorities have arranged for the burial of two dolphins and a Caretta caretta turtle that were found dead earlier this week, reports said on Wednesday.
One of the dolphins was found off the coast of Karames in northwestern Sifnos and the other off Port Lagos, in northern Greece, on Tuesday morning.
