Migrant boat sinks off Çanakkale, killing at least 20 people

A rubber dinghy carrying migrants sank off Türkiye's northern Aegean coast on March 15, killing at least 21 people, officials have said.

Turkish Coast Guard personnel rescued two migrants from the sea off the town of Eceabat in Çanakkale province, while two others were able to reach the shore by themselves, Governor İlhami Aktaş said.

Cargo ship sinks in Marmara Sea with 6 crew members

Search and rescue units on Feb. 15 initiated efforts to locate six crew members onboard a cargo ship that sank in the Marmara Sea in the country's northwest.

Teams were alerted to an emergency signal at 6:32 a.m. on Feb. 15 from the cargo ship "Batuhan A," a 69-meter cargo vessel that sunk off İmralı Island.

The accident took place in the Canadian Northwest Territories, Canadian authorities said.
The Canadian Transportation Safety Board and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirmed multiple fatalities in Tuesday's crash. The jet belonged to the regional carrier "Northwestern Air" and came down only about 500 meters from the end of the runway at the Fort Smith Regional Airport.

Shipwreck with 21 migrants off Rhodes, rescue operation under way

A shipwreck with 21 migrants occurred off the coast of Rhodes in Turkish territorial waters in the early hours of Saturday. 

Three people are missing, as reported by Greek state broadcaster ERT. 

The Turkish Coast Guard rescued 18 individuals. Joint efforts with the Greek Coast Guard are underway to locate the missing three.
