Second Borisov Government

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, together with cabinet ministers, will officially present the priorities of the Bulgarian presidency in Brussels. 

They will meet with the President of the European Commission and the Commissioners to report on whether they are ready and able to effectively coordinate policies during the Bulgarian presidency.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov is on a working visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina today, reported BGNES.

In Sarajevo, Borisov will speak with the President of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdic, with the presidents and vice-presidents of the two Chambers of Parliament as well as with the member of the Presidency Bakir Izetbegovic.

European Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality Vera Jourova will visit Bulgaria on 25 and 26 October, the EC Representation in Bulgaria, quoted by Mediapool, announced.

Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva will join today a meeting in Warsaw of the foreign ministers in the Bucharest B 9 format which includes NATO member states from Alliance's Eastern Flank: Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovaia, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov met with the General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation, Yuri Chayka, who is visiting Bulgaria, the government information service said.

At an extraordinary session MPs will vote for a new governor of the National Social Security Institute.

The only nomination for the post is Deputy Social Minister Ivaylo Ivanov. He is a candidate of GERB and United Patriots.

The procedure for the election of a NSI governor was announced after Bisser Petkov became Minister of Labor and Social Policy in the Borisov 3 Cabinet.

''Turkey is ready for any energy cooperation with the Republic of Bulgaria, which will lead to security of energy supply''. This was said by the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak , who met with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova during his one-day visit to Bulgaria, reported iNews.

The processes in the Western Balkan countries were among the topics discussed during Prime Minister Boyko Borisov's meeting with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Hoyt Yee, reported BGNES.

"Everything has an end. No one is married to the powerand no one has to live thinking that this is an infinity", commented the deputy of the political party GERB and the Minister of Culture in two of the Borisov's cabinets, Vezdi Rashidov, concerning the question why he is not a Minister in the third. This reported the FOCUS News Agency. 

British Prime Minister Theresa May congratulated Bulgarian PM Boyko Borisov for being elected for a third mandate, the government information service announced.
