The age of 5 will be set as the lower limit for compulsory education, while the early childhood education curriculum will be enriched, according to the 2023 Presidential Annual Program.

Within the scope of the new regulations to be made next year in education, early childhood education will also be improved.

Ljubljana – Igor Papič, the candidate for minister of education, science and sport, was cleared by the relevant parliamentary committee on Saturday after announcing a white paper on education and changes to the national exams at primary schools, whose results he believes should be one of the criteria for admission to the secondary school of choice.

According to the data of the Sofia Regional Health Inspectorate (SRHI), as of today Sofia is in stage 3 according to the National Operational Plan for dealing with the pandemic of COVID-19. More than 3,200 students from 5th to 12th grade returned to class in Sofia today. Most of them are in private schools. The only municipal school in the capital, the 164th Spanish-language high school, Miguel de Cervantes, managed to bring together 176 green-certified students in 8th, 9th and 10th grades. Ten of the 28 classes there are already conducting face-to-face training.

Over 131,000 8th grade graduates, of whom 12,006 in Bucharest, will sit in the National Evaluation examination, in the session that will take place between June 22 and July 4, 2021, informs the Ministry of Education. The exam starts on Tuesday, with the written test in Romanian Language and Literature. On Thursday, June 24, the Math test will take place.
