Bucharest, Sep 22 /Agerpres/ - President Klaus Iohannis had a bilateral meeting in New York on Wednesday with the Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), Louise Mushikiwabo, on the sidelines of his participation in the high-level segment of the 76th session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

MOSCOW - Serbia is pursuing a policy of military neutrality and has no intention of becoming a member of either the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) or NATO, but has a "great desire" to deepen its cooperation with CSTO and all its members, Serbian Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin said on Monday.

Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar met on Monday in Moscow with Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov.

The meeting, held at the CSTO headquarters, considered the possibilities and perspectives of future cooperation, while Vulin and Khachaturov "exchanged stances" on current security and political situation in the region and in the world.

Defense Minister Zoran Djordjevic on Friday in Belgrade received high ranking officials of CSTO and NATO in separate meetings.

The United States has a strong commitment to NATO not only in words but in deeds, alliance Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said on March 30 amid unease among European officials after U.S. President Donald Trump described NATO as "obsolete" during his election campaign.

Ivica Dacic this week traveled to Cuba to participate in the 22nd session of the Ministerial Council of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS).

After arriving in Havana, the Serbian first deputy PM and foreign minister met with ACS General Secretary June Soomer.

Serbia is committed to remaining militarily neutral, Zoran Djordjevic, the defense minister in Serbia's outgoing government, said in Moscow on Tuesday.

He made the remark in a conversation with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Nikolai Bordyuzha.
