The issue of security at universities has once again come to the fore, following the outrages of the last few days, with hooded assailants entering the University of Athens and spreading fear with threats of violence in student assemblies. 

Bulgaria is actively engaged in NATO's Cyber Coalition 2023, a significant cyber defence drill recognized as one of the world's largest exercises. The Defence Ministry reported the exercise featured 1,000+ participants from over 30 NATO structures, member states, partners, and EU entities.

IT companies in Greece are more optimistic over hiring intentions in the third quarter of 2023, with the hiring intentions rate rising to 39% from 27% in the first quarter and 6% in the second quarter of the year, ManpowerGroup said in a report on Monday.

The Culture Ministry's website and computer systems have been down since Wednesday morning because of a cyberattack, authorities have announced.

The website and systems were taken down for security reasons after the attack, while tne ministry and the National Cybersecurity Authority are investigating. Authorities say they have found no stole data so far.

Bulgaria's Parliament approved a contract to build a warehouse to store classified equipment and weapons for the F-16 aircraft. The premises will be located at the Graf Ignatievo air base and will cost 7.2 million dollars.

The Greek Research and Technology Network (GRNET) is strengthening its systems to prevent new cyber attacks like the one that caused chaos during Monday's school exams, a spokesperson announced.

The massive influx of up to 280,000 connections per second from unrelated sources blocked access to the exam platform.

U.S. semiconductor giant Micron has failed a national security review, China's cybersecurity watchdog has said, telling operators of "critical information infrastructure" to stop buying its products.
