Aviolet charter airline established at Belgrade airport

BELGRADE - Avoilet, a new charter airline from Serbia, which is owned by Air Serbia, has been opened at the Nikola Tesla airport in Belgrade.

The flights will cover Egypt, Greece, Italy, Spain and Turkey during this year's summer season, Air Serbia said on Friday.

Aviolet will use Boeing B737-300, which have a spacious economy class with 144 seats.

International conference on WWI opens in Belgrade

BELGRADE - The two-day international conference on the First World War opened in Belgrade on Friday with a message by President of the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD) Vuk Jeremic that the tensions and crises in regions far and wide are not so unlike those of the early 20th-century multipolar world.

EBRD Estimates Cost of Flood Damages in Serbia and B&H At EUR 3 B

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) estimated the damages from the devastating floods in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina at around EUR 3B. 

Official estimates of the cost are not available yet, but in its report the EBRD put the damage at around EUR 1.5-2 B in Serbia and about EUR 1.3B in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

EBRD: Flood damage to Serbia EUR 1.5-2 billion

LONDON - The devastating floods in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have already damaged their economies and will hit growth and inflation in the future as well, believes the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), adding that some very rough preliminary estimates put the damage in Serbia at around EUR 1.5-2 billion.
