Red Star vs Vrsac, Partizan vs Vozdovac in quarter-finals of Serbian football cup

BELGRADE - Cup title holders Red Star Belgrade were on Monday drawn to play Vrsac in the quarter-finals of the Serbian football cup, with arch-rivals Partizan to take on Vozdovac.

The other two quarter-final ties are Cukaricki vs Vojvodina and Radnicki Kragujevac vs Novi Pazar.

The quarter-final games are scheduled for April 10 next year.

Igor Duljaj officially named Partizan Belgrade head coach

BELGRADE - Former Serbia football international Igor Duljaj has been named new head coach of Partizan Belgrade, the club announced on its official website on Monday.

The decision comes after now-former boss Gordan Petric announced his departure following Partizan's UEFA Europa Conference League defeat to Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol last week.

Red Star win season's first basketball Superliga derby

BELGRADE - Red Star Belgrade beat Partizan 85-74 (23-16, 19-22, 23-18, 20-18) in the second round of the Serbian basketball Superliga late Tuesday.

In what was the first Eternal Derby of the competition, the reigning ABA League and Serbian champions overcame the arch-rivals at the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall for the third time this season.

Bozovic to remain Red Star Belgrade manager

BELGRADE - Montenegrin football manager Miodrag Bozovic on Monday confirmed he would remain in charge at Red Star Belgrade in the second half of the 2016/2017 season next spring.

Following speculation that he might resign after clinching the Serbian Superliga top spot at the end of the autumn part of the season, Bozovic said he would see out the club's title defence campaign.
