BELGRADE - Director of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric said Wednesday that Serbia wants stability in KiM, and that the country will not give up fighting for its interests.

Thaci "hopes Kosovo will become UN member soon"

NEW YORK -- Kosovo's outgoing Prime Minister Hasim Thaci has said that "Kosovo has made progress" and he therefore hopes it will "soon become a member of the UN."

PRISTINA - Representatives of the European Union Office in Kosovo and Kosovo's ministry for communities and return have launched a project worth up to EUR 6 million that should ensure the return of 250 displaced families.

The project will be implemented in seven municipalities - Pec, Istok, Klina, Obilic, Strpce, Suva Reka and Gnjilane over a 30-month period.

KLINA - Director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric said Monday that he expects the officials of ethnic Albanian political parties in KiM to provide support and protection to Serbs in the region of Metohija.
