More political will and cooperation between former Yugoslav states is needed for the remaining suspects from the 1990s wars to be brought to justice, Hague chief prosecutor Serge Brammertz said on Thursday.

The chief prosecutor at the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals, Serge Brammertz, condemned the celebration of war criminals and the denial of war crimes, including the Srebrenica genocide.

The chief prosecutor at the Hague war crimes, Serge Brammertz, told the UN Security Council that the Zagreb government is effectively blocking cases against former Croatian Army and Croatian Defence Council fighters.

Serge Brammertz, chief prosecutor at the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals in The Hague, warned that cooperation between ex-Yugoslav states on prosecuting suspects from the Balkan wars was “regressing”.

NEW YORK - Meeting with Serbian Justice Minister Nela Kuburovic on Tuesday, Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Serge Brammertz commended Serbia's position and the statements made by Serbian officials regarding the first-instance judgement in the Ratko Mladic case.

Brammertz, chief prosecutor of the ICTY, which recently concluded its work, now prosecutor of the International Residual Mechanisms for Criminal Tribunals, spoke before the UN Security Council on Wednesday during a session dedicate to the final report on ICTY's work.

The Serbian government announced this, adding that the 24th Report on work of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) will be presented during the session.

This is also the last report on the work of the tribunal, that recently concluded its activities.

Before the session, Kuburovic will meet with ICTY Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz.

BELGRADE - Meeting with Serge Brammertz, Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Serbian PM Ana Brnabic on Thursday expressed concern over the treatment of Serbs convicted by the ICTY, urging greater transparency regarding medical documentation.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met on Thursday with Chief Prosecutor of the Hague Tribunal (ICTY) Serge Brammertz.

Brammertz is on a visit to Belgrade as part of preparations for a regular six-month report to be submitted to the UN Security Council in December, the Serbian government announced.

The prosecutor at the UN war crimes court for the former Yugoslavia, Serge Brammertz, said he will report Croatia to the UN Security Council for non-cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
