Balkan States Backsliding on War Crime Cases, Hague Prosecutor Warns

More political will and cooperation between former Yugoslav states is needed for the remaining suspects from the 1990s wars to be brought to justice, Hague chief prosecutor Serge Brammertz said on Thursday.

Brammertz, chief prosecutor of the ICTY, which recently concluded its work, now prosecutor of the International Residual Mechanisms for Criminal Tribunals, spoke before the UN Security Council on Wednesday during a session dedicate to the final report on ICTY's work.
Justice minister to attend UNSC session on Hague Tribunal
The Serbian government announced this, adding that the 24th Report on work of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) will be presented during the session.
This is also the last report on the work of the tribunal, that recently concluded its activities.
Before the session, Kuburovic will meet with ICTY Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz.
