Skaramangas tenders are in the pipeline

In the next few weeks, probably within February, a new announcement will be issued for the sale of Skaramangas Shipyards, both by the company's administrator and the Hellenic Public Properties Company (ETAD).

The two tenders that will run in parallel follow the previous, inconclusive process whose failure is attributed to ETAD's "maximalistic" original approach to the asking price.

More efforts planned to rehabilitate Kurbağalıdere creek

A new tender has been held to select a company to carry out additional work to rehabilitate Kurbağalıdere, one of the central creeks in Istanbul's Kadıköy district on the Asian side.

Some 250 million Turkish Liras (around $39 million) have been spent over the past eight years to clean the highly polluted creek.

Oh, the sweet order of state tenders

One of the world's most important economists, maybe the number one economist, Prof. Daron Acemo?lu, was in Turkey last week. Hülya Güler from daily Hürriyet interviewed him and he expressed warnings about economic aspects he found risky. 

One of the aspects he found risky was the relationship between politicians and those who are involved in state tenders.  

Do?an Holding to open lawsuit against union head for 'baseless' claims

Do?an Holding Deputy President of Corporate Communications Ahter Kutadgu has said the group will open a lawsuit against Petrol-?? President Ali Ufuk Ya?ar for his "baseless" accusations over Petrol Ofisi's acquisition process. 

Ya?ar has claimed the privatization process of Petrol Ofisi was not transparent. 

Bulgarian Trasnport Minister Halts Public Tenders for Port, Railway Infrastructure

Bulgarian Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski has ordered the suspension of public procurement procedures for the construction of port and railway infrastructure.

The halted tenders concern the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company and the National Railway Infrastructure Company.
