Shopping centers reopen after more than two months

Shopping centers, department stores and retail parks opened on Monday for the first time since March 14, when they had been ordered to close by the government.
Their reopening came two weeks earlier than originally planned, but with strict rules such as the compulsory use of face masks not only by staff but also shoppers.

Restaurants and cafes set to reopen on May 25

As part of the government's effort to expedite the return to normalcy for businesses in Greece, the competent state health authorities have approved the opening of restaurants, bars and cafes on May 25.

Meanwhile on Monday - and two weeks earlier than originally estimated - shopping malls, department stores and discount outlets will reopen.

Stores to start reopening gradually from mid-May, says minister

Restrictions on the operation of retail stores will gradually start to ease in mid-May, Development Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Thursday, adding that the lifting of the measures will take place in reverse order to that in which they were introduced.
This means that the first businesses to be allowed to reopen will be the retail stores that were shuttered on March 18.
