Ida Nielsen | Athens | October 5-8

Danish composer and multi-instrumentalist Ida Nielsen, known to many for her work with the late superstar Prince, inaugurates the Half Note jazz club's new season with a series of shows from October 5 to 8. The inspired bass player will be accompanied by her band, the Funkbots, in a career-spanning set that will also include highlights from her time working with Prince.

Katerine Duska | Athens | September 14

Greek-Canadian singer Katerine Duska returns to the Athens Concert Hall garden with her new band and a special guest, Swedish songwriter Albin Lee Meldau. The ensemble will perform extracts from Duska's first album, "Embodiment," covers of popular Greek and foreign songs, and compositions from her new album, which is about to be released. The show starts at 8.30 p.m.

Turkish singer probed for using one dollar bills in music video

An investigation has been launched into popular pop singer Mabel Matiz after an unidentified person claimed he has links to the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), the group believed to have orchestrated the failed 2016 coup attempt, for using one dollar banknotes in a music video for a song that topped Turkish music charts.

Papakonstantinou & Malamas | Athens | September 10

Two of most prominent artists in Greece's art-house genre, Thanasis Papakonstantinou and Sokratis Malamas, are on tour promoting a joint recording project - "Me Stoma pou Yela" (With a Smiling Mouth), released in February to critical acclaim - and will be performing at the Technopolis complex on Monday, September 10, starting at 9 p.m.
