Bruno Mars Grabs (Nearly) All the Grammys

Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar stole the show, and most of the awards, at the 2018 Grammys, according to BBC.

Mars provided the night's big upset, taking the album of the year trophy that most critics assumed would go to Lamar's rap tour de force, Damn.

In the end, voters found Mars's crowd-pleasing R&B more palatable, while Lamar dominated the rap categories.

'Tosca' from the Met | Athens & Thessaloniki | January 27 & 28

The Athens and Thessaloniki concert halls are screenings the Metropolitan Opera's production of "Tosca" from New York at 7.55 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Three great ladies of the Greek music scene - Marinella, Eleni Vitali and Glykeria - are performing together in a production titled "A Female Affair," which revisits some of the most popular and critically acclaimed songs written by Greek composers in the 20th century, from rebetika and laiko classics to art-house numbers penned by Manos Hadjidakis and Mikis Theodorakis.

George Dalaras & Estudiantina | Athens | January 15 & 16

Greek singer George Dalaras joins forces with Estudiantina, a Volos-based ensemble that has been studying and performing the sounds of the Mediterranean for the past 20 years, for two shows at the Iera Odos venue. As his special guest, Dalaras has invited Italian singer and composer Eddy Napoli, as well as local vocalists Thodoris Kontonias and Ria Ellinidou, to join him on stage.
