As ties warm, Erdogan says Greece may be able to benefit from a Turkish power plant

Turkey is considering allowing neighboring Greece to benefit from a nuclear power plant it plans to build near its Black Sea coast, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was quoted as saying on Friday.

Erdogan made the comments on his return from a visit to Athens on Thursday, where longtime regional rivals Greece and Turkey took significant steps toward mending their troubled ties.

First seafood receives geographical indication

A traditional Turkish seafood dish called "Sinop lakerda," which reflects thousands of years of marine and fishing culture of the northern province of Sinop, has become the first seafood product ever to receive a geographical indication.

"Sinop lakerda" is a pickled dish prepared by slicing toric or large bonito fish, native to the Black Sea region.
