"Year 2022 was a milestone for Sky Express and Greek tourism that exceeded all expectations," Sky Express Chief Commercial Officer Gerasimos Skaltsas said during a company event marking the start of the summer season.

Greek airline Sky Express is returning to the Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum for a second time, hoping to strengthen ties with the cruise industry.

Sky Express has been on a steady upward course, with the addition of two Airbus A321neo aircraft in the second quarter of 2023, enabling the airline to connect the world with 34 enchanting Greek destinations.

In a few days, SKY express will strengthen its fleet with a new Airbus A320neo. The airline, which during the pandemic renewed its fleet with new aircraft and "opened" its activity abroad, is launching in 2023 the acquisition of two more A321 type aircraft.

The new generation of ATR 72-600 aircraft is brought to our country for the first time by SKY express to reinforce the coverage of its domestic network. This type of aircraft meets the specific requirements of national aviation. It offers a unique flight experience, while at the same time it is renowned for its eco-friendliness and its fuel efficiency.

SKY express connects Heraklion with 11 popular domestic and European destinations creating bridges throughout Greece with destinations abroad. It upgrades the position of the historic city and of Crete as a whole as a key node of its network and actively contributes to the further development of the island nationally and internationally.

Greek airline Sky Express said on Thursday it had signed an agreement with Qatar Airways to cooperate on flights connecting Doha with the Greek islands, in a boost to the country's key tourism industry.

Tourism accounts for about a quarter of economic output in Greece, which saw a record number of about 33 million visitors last year.

Boeing 737 plane of the Utair airline landed at Moscow's Vnukovo airport, the Nova TV news agency reported. After its takeoff on the Moscow-Berlin route, the air condition sensor was triggered.For technical reasons, the commander of the flight has decided to return the airplane back. There are no injured passengers.

Greek airline Sky Express, which provides connecting flights to Greek regional airports, has the shortest flight in Europe. It’s flight between the islands of Kassos and Karpathos lasts for only 5 minutes and is considered one of the shortest in the European continent and among the 10 shortest in the world.
