Vucic: No layoffs in Zelezara Smederevo, salaries up by 10%

BELGRADE - Dutch company HPK Engineering BV, which was entrusted with the management and business consulting at the state-owned Zelezara Smederevo, has pledged that the steel mill will start to make profit in six months, keep the number of employees and increase salaries by 10 percent, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has said.

Dusan Petrovic elected president of Together for Serbia

BELGRADE - Dusan Petrovic, who was the leader of Together for Serbia (ZZS), one of the youngest parties in the country, has been elected president of this party, which has seats in the parliament.

Ukraine MPs Mull Setting Up 'Parliament Police' after Tuesday Fight

A Ukrainian lawmaker has proposed the creation of a "parliamentary police" after a new brawl that ended up violently on Tuesday, Russian media report.

Dmitro Dobrodomov told Ukrainian TV channel 112 "serious fights" required the measure if such incidents are to be prevented in the future.

Bulgaria Foreign Minister 'Working on Ukraine Visit'

Bulgarian Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov has revealed he is to travel Ukraine and is "in talks" to pay visit there.

Mitov told reporters in Parliament Thursday that he was intending to visit representatives of the Bulgarian community living there.

"We are currently in talks as to when this will be possible," Focus News Agency quoted Mitov as saying.
