More than 100 residential areas in the northwestern regions of Bulgaria were left without power last night owing to the damage caused by the heavy rains. Energy company crews are making repairs and work will continue until power supply is restored.
The situation is most severe in western Bulgaria.

BGN 86 Thousand Allocated for Archaeological Survey along the Europe Highway
The Road Infrastructure Agency has opened a tender process for selecting a contractor to carry out a rescue archaeological survey of a newly discovered archaeological site located at the 18th km along the Kalotina-Sofia ring road, the road agency said.
The deadline for submission is November 21, and the value of the public procurement is BGN 86 000 (VAT excluded).
PM Boyko Borissov Inspected the Construction Works on Europe Motorway
Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has inspected construction works on Europe Motorway in Slivnitsa - Dragoman section, said the government press office, quoted by Focus News Agency.
The project started in mid-May this year and will be completed by 2021, it is implemented with funds from the state budget under the New Construction programme of the Road Infrastructure Agency.
