Amendments to municipal statutes adopted

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA -- ouncilors of the Northern Mitrovica City Assembly unanimously adopted on Thursday the amendments to the municipal statute at a closed session.

Only 30% of Serbians think democracy is best form of govt.

BELGRADE -- A new survey carried out by the U.S. NGO NDI and CeSID showed that only 30 percent of Serbian citizens believe that democracy is the best type of government.

Members of the Belgrade-backed Srpska List have started discussions with other Serbian parties in Kosovo, fleshing out options on how to run together in the upcoming general elections on June 8.

Goran Rakic, from the Srpska list, who became mayor of North Mitrovica in the last local elections, told Balkan Insight that consultations with other Serbian parties were ongoing.

International and local prosecutors in Kosovo have filed an indictment against two people over the attack on a Kosovo police convoy on July 25, 2011, which caused the officer’s death, the EU rule-of-law mission, EULEX said on Monday.

Dačić: Time for reforms within SPS party
