Six persons have died when a Ukrainian civilian helicopter crashed in eastern Slovakia, Reuters reported on Friday.

The agency quoted Slovak Interior Ministry spokesman Ivan Netik, who said an unidentified helicopter was detected in Slovak airspace on Wednesday night.

Slovakia  will recourse to the European Court of Justice against the decision by the European Commission to enforce a mandatory refugee relocation scheme to other EU member-states of the 120,000 migrants currently in Greece and Italy. The government of Slovakia announced it would take the matter to the European Court, Tuesday.

Slovakia has said that it will only accept Christian refugees once it starts taking in its quota of 200 migrants from the Middle East under a relocation programme recently adopted by the EU.

According to Slovakia's Interior Ministry spokesman Ivan Metik the government's approach wasn't down to discrimination, but rather practical concerns around integration, CNN reported.

BRATISLAVA -- Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic conferred on Thursday with Slovak President Andrej Kiska as he started his visit to Slovakia.

Kiska "welcomed the efforts Serbia is investing on its EU path, noting that the most important matter now is to receive positive signals from the EU as soon as possible."

Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov on Thursday discussed Eastring, a new Slovak proposal for diversifying gas supply infrastructure in Europe, with Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico.

Mitov arrived on an official visit to Slovakia on Thursday at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak.
