BSMEPA Exec. Dir. Boyko Takov becomes Board Member of the International Network of SMEs

The Executive Director of BSMEPA Boyko Takov became Board Member of the International Network of Small and Medium Enterprises (INSME). This was announced during the 17th annual meeting of the organization, which took place between 9 and 10 December in Sofia.

Turkish trade body, German SMEs group ink cooperation deal

The Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK) signed an agreement with the German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (BVMW) on Oct. 28.

A memorandum of understanding was signed at the DEIK headquarters in Istanbul by Nail Olpak, head of the DEIK, and Markus Jerger, general manager of the BVMW.

Greece – 36.7% of SMEs face the fear of being shut down

A percentage of 36.7% of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are facing the fear of filing for bankruptcy, according to a survey by the Center for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Greece.

In particular, according to this survey, the percentage of enterprises that express the fear of a possible cessation of their activity in the next period remains very high (36.7%).

Bulgarian Development Bank: New BGN 1.7 Billion for Small and Medium Business

The Bulgarian Development Bank has stated to the European Commission its desire to attract additional funds for the rehabilitation and development of small and medium-sized businesses. This will be done through the InvestEU program. The total resource that the bank will be able to have is up to BGN 1.7 billion.

EUR 30m in EU funds on hand for digital transformation of SMEs

Ljubljana – A total of EUR 30 million in funds will be allocated to small and medium-sized enterprises in Slovenia as part of a call for applications for digital transformation of SMEs (P4D React EU), the government has announced. The entire amount will be contributed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

CITUB Proposes 60/40 Job Retention Scheme to Become 75/100

The Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) proposes that the 60/40 job retention scheme (where the government pays 60 per cent of the wage bill and the employer, 40 per cent) become 75/100, CITUB Executive Secretary Asya Goneva commented for BTA on Monday ahead of this week's meeting of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation that will focus on this measure.

SMEs should also receive grants through PNRR, not only financial instruments

Bucharest, May 14 /Agerpres/ - Small and medium-sized enterprises should benefit from grants from the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PNRR), as is happening in the rest of the European countries, not only from financial instruments, said, on Friday, Florin Jianu, the head of the National Council for Small and Medium-sized Private Enterprises (CNIPMMR), in a press conference.
