Bulgaria's Interior Ministry Unveils 20 New E-Services for Streamlined Processes

Bulgaria's Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched 20 new electronic administrative services, aiming to alleviate the administrative load for citizens and businesses, according to an official announcement. With this addition, the Ministry now offers a total of 74 electronic services, enhancing the application and processing of existing services.

Electronic communication service revenue down 2% last year

Ljubljana – Revenue from electronic communication services in Slovenia amounted to slightly more than one billion euro last year, or 2% less then in 2019. Users sent fewer SMS and more MMS messages and there were more calls in the home network, while calls to international networks were down. Investments increased by 23%.

Mobile data usage and number of texts sent increase y/y

Ljubljana – Slovenian mobile network users sent almost 574 million SMS messages in the second quarter of 2021, an increase of 4% compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, mobile broadband users downloaded more than 56 million gigabytes of data, which is 26% more than last year.

Taxi passenger limit suspended for New Years Eve, Jan. 1

There will be no limit to the number of passengers allowed in a taxi for people visiting friends or family on New Year's Eve and January 1, Greek authorities said.

People who intend to leave the house to attend a festive gathering must send an SMS message to 13033 with the number 6 - as was the case on December 25.
