Firea: PSD Group in Senate approves series of modifications in standing committees composition
The spokesperson of the Social Democrat Party (PSD) group of senators, Gabriela Firea, has announced on Tuesday that the Social Democrats have approved a series of modifications in the composition of some standing committees, the modifications being determined by the "naming of some senators in ministerial posts".
Romania MPs Approve Ponta's Rejigged Team
Romania's bicameral parliament on Monday approved a government reshuffle, triggered by the break-up of the country's ruling coalition, with Victor Ponta retaining his post as Prime Minister.
The government was approved with 377 votes, while 134 lawmakers voted against the cabinet.

Ponta Plans Cabinet Reshuffle in Romania
Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Monday announced that he will reshuffle the cabinet and seek a vote of confidence in parliament for the new ministerial line-up on December 15.
The cabinet will have with fewer ministerial positions. Besides members of the ruling Social Democratic Party, PSD, headed by Ponta, it will include members of three other parties represented in parliament.
